Your cash fortune is in your list and the best thing is with millions of people surfing the internet every day it is not hard to build a giant list. The technique is simple however you will need to spend a little money to acquire the necessary tools.
So what tools do you need?
Firstly you will need to have a domain name and URL. The domain name is the name of your web site e.g. yourwebsitename. The URL is the actual address of your web site and looks something like this

The best web addresses finish with a .com and you can register one at any domain registry for as little as $5 or $6.
Secondly you will need to purchase an auto responder system. An auto responder serves two functions; firstly it allows you to set up what we call a capture page. This is a simple automated form which is placed on your web site to capture a person’s contact details. When the person fills out the form on your web page their information is recorded by your auto responder and they become part of your marketing list. If you have been exploring different business opportunities you have probably filled in one of these forms and are now receiving regular emails from the product or service provider you signed up with.
The second function of an auto responder is to remain in constant contact with the people you have captured on your list. The auto responder allows you to set up a series of unlimited messages, which will be sent at intervals you set, to your list. The auto responder also allows you to send out broadcast messages to your whole list. So just think of the power of this simple piece of software.
To illustrate the power of auto responders and list building here is an example of how I continually build sales lists.
My web site is a music web site and I capture people using the auto responder system. A good way to get people to subscribe to your list is to offer them something for free. In this example I offer the visitor free mobile ring tones in return for filling out the capture page form. I then have a series of automated daily email messages which are sent to the subscriber. For example:
Day 1: Thank you for subscribing
Day 2: Have you checked out these special features on our site
Day 3: Invite your friends to get free mobile ring tones
Day 4: Launch sales campaign 1.
This is a series of auto responder messages which are going to warm the person up for a future product sale. For example if my campaign was to sell a new single I would start by warming up the list with a message like “ Get ready for the future sound of funk watch this space “. This is a teaser which creates anticipation in the list and makes them excited about finding out what it is about, guaranteeing they will open the message I send tomorrow which may read “The sound of future funk is now click here to get your preview”. When the person clicks on the link they are sent to another capture page and are required to complete the form to get their free download of the pre-released song for that artist. WOW I have now built another opt in list and the beauty of this list is that the people were genuinely interested in the artist or the style of music meaning it is going to be easy to sell them future products by the artist.
IF your starting to get excited hold onto your hat because it’s about to get much better, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Here is the real power of list building. Remember I mentioned earlier you can also do a broadcast to your list.
Check this out, my web site is about music but I have two lists. Now I am going to join an affiliate program for a product which has nothing to do with music. For example let’s say the product is woman’s care products. I am now going to do a broadcast email to all people on both my lists. It may say something like “ Exclusive One Time Offer” The email broadcast will be offering an exclusive deal for woman’s care products but to get the special deal the person must complete the capture form to get the deal. When people subscribe I have just created another list of people interested in woman’s care products and I can now start sending them regular product offers. Get the idea.
